Slow Cooked Cherry Balsamic Glazed Ham

Slow Cooked Cherry Balsamic Glazed Ham

3-4 kg skinless, shankless bone-in ham
3 cups dark sweet cherries fresh or frozen
3/4 cup Morella Grove cherry balsamic vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/2 cup liquid honey
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1. Place ham in 5 or 6 L slow cooker, trimming if necessary so that the lid closes, and score the top so that the glaze can sink into the meat.
2. Use a large skillet over medium-high heat, add cherries, cherry balsamic, garlic, honey, salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, until cherries have softened.
3. Puree until smooth
4. Return sauce to pan and simmer over medium-high heat until reduced (it will be thick and syrupy), about 5-8 minutes. Adjust seasonings to your taste.
Brush ham with 3-4 tablespoons glaze, cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
Remove ham from slow cooker, slice, and serve with remaining glaze (reheated if desired). Enjoy!
