Homemade GYOZA 😜
Ingredients:
200g ground pork (or chicken)
1 cup cabbage (finely chopped)
2 green onions / shallots (chopped)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tsp ginger (grated)
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp sake or rice vinegar
Salt and pepper (to taste)
Gyoza wrappers (store-bought)
Water (for sealing and cooking)
Oil (for frying
1 x Jar Morella Grove Chilli Crunch (use as required)
Method
1. Prepare Filling:
In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, sake, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
2. Assembly
Take a gyoza wrapper and place a small spoonful of filling in the centre.
Dip your finger in water and run it along the edge of the wrapper.
Fold the wrapper in half, pleating one side as you press the edges together to seal.
3. To Cook Gyoza - Heat a tablespoon of oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Place the gyoza flat side down in the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown. Add 1/4 cup water to the pan and cover with a lid. Let the gyoza steam for 4-5 minutes until the water evaporates.
4. To Serve, remove the lid and cook for an additional minute to crisp up the bottoms. Serve hot + top /drizzle with our Morella Grove Chilli Crunch.
